The Jay Douthit Memorial Fund

John “Jay” Douthit had been an Edna Martin Christian Center board member and was the founder of our golf outing fundraiser. His health did allow him to participate in our 9th annual golf outing, but even weeks before his passing, he still came to our offices with many of the prizes needed to make the event a success. His generosity benefited all who participated in the event. His foresight in establishing our golf outing will benefit this organization for many years to come.

Jay was born March 18, 1944, went to Broad Ripple High School, and graduated from Vanderbilt University. He and his wife Susan had been married 47 years, they enjoyed traveling together, and did so even more after Jay retired from the George F. Cram Company.

Jay’s wife Susan has ensured that Jay’s name will live on here by establishing the Jay Douthit Memorial Fund. You may contribute to this fund by following this link.
