Join us on Saturday, July 6 for a night at the Indianapolis Symphony on the Prairie with the sounds of Aretha Franklin sang by professional singer and impersonator, Denita Ashburry! We’re thrilled to share that we received a national grant from USA TODAY NETWORK’s A Community Thrives initiative on June 11! A Community Thrives, which is part of the Gannett Foundation, supports non-profit organizations like ours with projects focused on community building. This grant will go to support our Community Solutions and Entrepreneurship Center. The new Center will support business development, incubate new businesses, and be a hub to help address community issues.According to Maggie Goeglein, EMCC's vice president of development, “When you talk about entrepreneurship, it’s important to have a space where you can get hands-on.... Being able to put your ideas into practice, to see this concept you have come to life; it’s important to have a physical space where we can do those things.” Click here to see the story in the Indianapolis Star.
