Before & After School Programming.

What Edna Martin Offers

Edna Martin Christian Center offers safe and engaging before and after school programs for students. Our programs provide homework help, fun activities, and enrichment opportunities that support learning and personal growth. Children have a chance to explore, play, and connect with friends in a welcoming environment.

Leadership & Legacy After School Program:
Building Scholars and Community Leaders

The Leadership and Legacy After School Program focuses on social-emotional health, academics, and civic achievement through an array of programs and services. Specifically, during the school year the Center strives to increase students’ academic proficiency in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) through the NASA NOSL (NASA Out of School Learning) program (grades 1-6); and increase understanding of college preparedness and responsible technology usage (grades 7&8).

During the summer, youth (6-15 years old) engage in learning opportunities that prepare them for the school year and plan and implement a community project that effects change in the neighborhood or addresses a social problem. On Saturdays, middle school students participate in the Leadership and Legacy Academy, which is a college-preparedness program.
