Martindale-Brightwood Education Zone.
The MBEZ helps children and families reach their maximum potential. Whole-family support for parents and caregivers undergird students, and the well-coordinated, innovative, high-quality programs help every student advance.
Our Goals.
Babies are born healthy, and children reach important developmental milestones, arriving at school ready for kindergarten. They attend high-quality schools, perform at grade level in core academic subjects, successfully transition from elementary to middle and high school, and graduate. High school graduates go on to earn a postsecondary degree, certification, or credential.
Families are actively engaged and knowledgeable about supporting their child’s education both at home and in school. They build social connections that enhance their sense of community and receive case management services to help them access stable, affordable housing and achieve financial stability.
The Martindale-Brightwood Education Zone (MBEZ) works to improve the educational, developmental, and academic outcomes of children while providing essential support for parents and caregivers in Martindale-Brightwood and surrounding areas. By leveraging the community’s existing assets and partnerships, introducing new initiatives or expanding current programs, tracking measurable progress for each participant, and providing diverse resources and support, the MBEZ ensures that children, youth, and families have the tools and opportunities to thrive.
