Emergency Assistance.

Immediate Support When Families Need It Most.

Edna Martin Christian Center’s Emergency Assistance program provides essential support to families facing urgent needs. From food and clothing to utility and rental assistance, the program is designed to help community members stabilize their lives during challenging times. By offering timely resources and compassionate guidance, EMCC ensures that families have a safety net while they work toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

Emergency Support.

EMCC’s Emergency Services provides basic needs assistance to community residents in need. This includes weekly supplemental groceries from our Food Pantry, monthly commodity boxes for area seniors in partnership with CICOA.

Seasonal utility assistance is available through the federal Energy Assistance Program (EAP) or the Winter Assistance Fund (WAF), and rental and utility financial support may be offered through FEMA when grant funds are available. Families who qualify can also receive diapers through a partnership with the Indiana Diaper Bank. Additional basic needs, such as transportation assistance, cold-weather clothing, school uniform donations, and more, are provided when available.
